1. Does your local university have a Theatre program? It's nice to say you went to an expensive school and all, but all directors really care about is if you can Act and your look (they visualize the character in their head, you don't have to be beautiful) Also, get as much experience as possible in Classes and Plays.
2. There is a John Robert Powers acting School in Vancouver, check out their site: JohnRobertPowers.net, click on locations, and you should find it. They teach classes and have agents come in to sign talented kids.
