What colleges have good drama programs? I am going to be applying to college next year and I'm interested in studying drama and theatre arts but I want to go to a school that offers more than just drama because I'm interested in studying a lot of different things. So I was wondering which universities have a good drama school in them? I realize that college is very expensive and there are some places that I will not be able to go to but I just want to get some ideas so I can think about where to apply to and what to research about.
good (performing arts/drama) colleges in LA? i live in singapore but i really want to enroll in a college in Los Angeles since my family's there. it doesn't have to be specialised in the performing arts/drama, but just as long as it's fairly reputated and has a good drama faculty. i was hoping that it would be within LA itself and not nearby or around it. any suggestions? a link to their site will be really helpful. thanks!
drama/musical theatre colleges for 16 year olds? Most drama/musical theatre schools only accept 18 year olds but I really want to go to a full time musical theatre college at 16! Do you know any colleges that accept 16 year olds? I can easily get to London or anywhere really! I want to specialize in musical theatre. Musical theatre is my passion! and i currently go to a theatre school on Sundays!

Should I go to drama college/university to become an actress? I was wondering, I want to be an actress...should I go to normal college and university and take drama classes/dance classes...or should I go to drama college/university? Which is better for a movie actress? Love true love, I didn't ask this already...this is actually my first question. so that means, I should go? My mom told me that all actresses and actors are high educated, meaning that they learn/have knowledge.
Which impresses colleges more Chorus or Drama? This year will be my senior year of High School and If I take chorus it will be my third year in one of the lowest ensembles, where as if I take drama it would be my second year of taking it. In Drama I would be moving up and in chorus I would stll be in the same low ensemble.
Top acting colleges/ Drama schools? Could someone please give me a list of good acting colleges/ Drama schools in England or any that you know to be of a good standard... London would be most preferable although i would be willing to travel maybe to a college that would be able to board me.
Can I major in drama for college if I never took drama classes? Is it possible to be admitted in a college, majoring in drama (which requires an audition), without taking drama classes or being in the drama club? I love them as a hobby, but I'm worried if I need to know anything extra (like techniques). Also, can I even consider musical theater if I don't know musical notes?
If drama students can major in drama in college, why can't athletes major in athletics? Doesn't seem very fair. You major in something that you perform in, such as drama. You probably don't have much of a chance of becoming a movie star, but you can still major in it. Same thing should be available for athletes I think. Sure, the chance of a college student on the baseball team making it to the big leagues is small, but why deny him the opportunity? What is the difference between someone on stage performing and someone on a field playing baseball performing? I don't see any difference.
Question about my chances of getting into a drama college...? I am a high school senior and am in the process of looking for/applying to college. I know that my heart lies in acting, but unfortunately it has taken me a while to figure that out. I don't want to do anything else with my life and would love to go to a college for drama. I have only been involved in eight or so productions and none were on a large scale. What are my chances of getting into a drama school when I am competing against people who have been acting their whole lives??
I am looking for a good drama college with dorms I am going to move to US, probably NY or CA, but I want to study drama--Yes, I want to become an actress/singer. But could you tell me please a good private college with dorms, in order to live as well? It would save me from looking for an apartment. Also, provide me with a link of the private school, I want to apply.
I need a list of colleges who offer any kind of drama/theatre/performing arts program/classes.? I want to be an actress, I've always wanted to be. I'm a junior in high school and I'm looking into colleges and scholarships right now. I need something to put on my resume and help me to get an agent once I finish college and I figured majoring in drama, or even taking it as a side class, would help me with that, help me better my abilities. if you could, please just give me a list of colleges offering drama, or a site that has a list of all colleges & their classes. the faculty in my school is useless, unless you're a senior. thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
Which is best for acting College or drama schools? Hello I'm just wondering which is better doing something like performance and arts in college or going to a drama school? I'm gonna be doing performance and arts in college anyway i just wanted to know because my parents won't send me to a drama school because they say i don't need to pay my way to the top to be good. And also I'm 15 so it's too late for me to join a drama class or whatever .

Which drama course is the best to study? I'm really interested in acting and I have been since a young age. I've read about a lot of university courses and courses for 18+ students and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what there opinion of a drama course they/someone they know went on and how they found it, good or really useful? etc. As there are many courses to choose from. I know you have to have some pretty good grades, to apply for some and so if anyone could give me an opinion on how they found working up to get the grades was, hard but worth it in the end? No good, would try another etc. I won't be able to enter a drama course at college until i'm 16 next year, but I have found a course that I can do then. So in advance I would appreciate people's opinions on drama university courses, for when I've completed the college course. Thank you, for any future answers.

Should I Major in Drama and Journalism in College? I like these subjects and I would love to be an actor (go on for my MFA) or journalist (and earn my MJ). Yet, everyone around me tells me that these are "impractical" subjects and I cannot earn a living at them. What do you think I should do? Have any of you majored in these subjects (especially Drama) and come to regret it later? Thanks.
